Recently I have found myself a bit adrift on getting things done on EXP. It is not that things are not getting done. It is just that things are random and sporadic. So, last week I initiated a goal of the week, G-O-T-W, that I put up on my whiteboard.
Last week’s goal of the week was updating all the PDFs that players use for persona records, toy tracking and story notes. I was a bit shocked by this when I saw a player bring a persona record that I did not recognize. It turns out that I had made a collection of documents where one can download a PDF or even modify a PDF to their needs for exp.
This week’s goal of the week is modifying, updating, rationalizing and adding some little perks to mundane weapons in EXP.
Each of the mundane weapons damage (DMG) will be reassessed as some of these are out of whack. There also will be details for certain weapons as to their advantages, and disadvantages, in melee combat.
For example, a point (AKA a dagger) can be used when grappled. However, regular swords cannot. A two-handed sword may reach into the next hexagon.
This will also necessitate a review of how armor works. Previously, armor had a flat rating. However, it has been adjusted to an adjustment to the player’s base defense rating.
