Okay so the editor block for images works better than ever for handling images in WP. As for scaling videos it is as bad as ever. Hopefully the openness of WP will allow for JS gurus to create useful block manipulations for video.

as a note there is a block with no VideoPress URL above. To make it work you have to go to the media library copy the link to the video and then paste it into the block. Previously one could simple "add media" this is a terrible step backward.
