Oh dear. Gutenberg editor has a ‘feature’ that converts old posts to blocks. Sadly it has doubled up all the images. I will look closer, but for a huge project it is a lot concerning. 

PS. A second publish when you meant to publish the first time is irritating. I also find that the editor tends to miss spaces.
