Make the world less worse through people playing games together.
EXP is a free and open source rule set for playing sciency fiction table top roll playing games. It is reasonably generic. However there is also generic mythos to create a common language for players.
The website acts a book for the rule set to play EXP The Game of Technological Chaos. There are many reasons for making a document site instead of a book. First books are expensive, wasteful and very fucking hard to make. I know because I have made some. Below is a list of advantages for using a docs as code website builder.
The build chain for the rules is manual. There may be a delay between docs and rules.
Why put an RPG in a repository?
EXP has already been published as a book and and as fixed website. These methods are either too static (as in a book) or become too bloated and corrupted (as in WordPress).
- Version Control
- Sharing
- Forking
- Docs as Code
- local, online or print as desired
EXP Goals
- an online, local or printed document
- integrated tools creating a TTRPG 2.0
- translations
- multiple authors

You are free to use EXP for any of your story telling needs. EXP license is protected by Hugh MacLeod using CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Roll Your Own
The docs links up the existing rule sets for EXP. One can also create a local instance of version V6 or higher using the Antoradocs web site building thang.
https://github.com/mobilehugh/EXP_Documents
- Install Antoradocs (good luck)
- Run Antoradocs (even more luck needed)
- Find the website on your local machine (out of luck now)
- There is no installer
- There is no support
- please just go to latest version
