What is new in version 2026_0930?
I used the LLM Chat Gippity to find and smash a bunch of stale links. This was fun and useful.
Improved Navigation
The navigation column has been radically updated and simplified. The fun, but confusing, Roll vs Role Playing Systems differentiation is gone. The Role-Playing System has been moved into the Appendices. Nothing has been removed, but many navigation access points have been changed. Hopefully this will streamline getting to the info you need.
A pile of stuff that isn’t being used have been removed from navigation. Including the links to older versions. These can be accessed in Credits and don’t need a spot in the top line
New Python Tools
Another big change is the removal of the outdated Python tools for creating personas. The entire program has been rewritten and now manages creation and editing of aliens, anthros and robots. Persona records are now stored locally and images can be added or uploaded. There are 2 types of PDF outputs (Deathmatch and Campaign) for existing personas. The PDF generator now uses a more modern technology called Typst. Blank PDFs also were re-written using Typst. These applications are no longer publicly accessible. The repo consists of nearly 30k lines of code, and that is almost completely hand written. What can I say? I like to type.
